Information
Capt. Steven Utley was born in 1953. He grew up on the Texas coast, and has been fishing since the age of seven. As a teenager he lived in St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands where he continued his love affair with the water, fishing, surfing and diving. Being on the water with a rod in his hand, casting for the perfect fish has been a passion all of his life. Sharing that passion with others by being a fishing guide has been a life-long dream that he is now, finally realizing.
Capt. Steve is a licensed captain through the U.S. Coast Guard and holds a valid guide license through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He is a member of the American Canoe Association and is a Certified Boating Instructor with the local U.S. Power Squadron. He is a member of the Coastal Bend Guides Association, is a Heritage Endorsed Fishing Guide, and a member of the Rockport Marine Pro Staff, and the Ranger Boat Inshore Fishing Team.
