Information
A native of Sandy, Oregon, Travis spent most of his childhood and young adult life prowling the banks of the Deschutes River. He landed his first Deschutes Redside on a fly at the age of 14 and steelhead followed shortly thereafter. Growing up within an hour of the Deschutes, Travis literally cut his teeth on the very waters that he guides today. His teachers at Sandy High School never understood that all those days of playing hooky were actually Travis' way of preparing for his future as a fly fishing guide! Travis is currently a guide for Deschutes Angler Fly Shop & Guide Service.
